Colin graduated in Computer Science from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen and holds an MSc in Data Science. He joined Independent Data Services (IDS) in 2010 as a web developer before progressing into Programme Manager and Regional Manager roles, where he spearheaded data analytics initiatives in upstream oil and gas.
Driven by a strong belief in the need for digitalisation in the upstream sector, Colin left IDS in 2017 to take on specialist leadership and business/digital transformation roles at Aker BP (2017), Stena Drilling (2020), and most recently as Chief Operating Officer at Elemental Energies (2023). Throughout his career, he has leveraged digital technologies to drive cultural and technological change, leading to measurable improvements in business processes and commercial performance.
Outside of work, Colin enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, or fishing—always making the most of the great outdoors.
